Read these cautions first
Diabetes medicine and low blood sugar: gymnema and chromium may add to the effect of insulin, metformin and sulfonylureas. Ask your doctor before use; you may be asked to check your levels more often (NCCIH).
Green tea extract: contains caffeine, and concentrated extracts have rare reports of liver injury. Stop and see a doctor if you notice dark urine, yellowing skin or eyes, or belly pain (NCCIH).
Panax ginseng, pregnancy and surgery: ginseng can interact with warfarin and stimulants and may affect sleep. Ask your doctor before use in pregnancy, while nursing, or in the two weeks before surgery.
Chromium
An essential trace mineral that helps insulin do its job of moving glucose into cells. Trials of chromium supplements on blood sugar give mixed results, and the effects reported are small. It is the best-studied ingredient in the formula. Read the source.
Gymnema
A climbing plant used in Ayurvedic tradition, nicknamed “sugar destroyer” because it briefly dulls sweet taste on the tongue. Small studies look at glucose and sugar cravings. Because it may lower blood sugar, people on diabetes medicine must ask their doctor first. Read the source.
African mango
The seed of a West African fruit, rich in soluble fiber. A handful of small trials report effects on weight and glucose markers, but their quality has been questioned. We treat it as a supporting ingredient, not a headline. Read the source.
Green tea extract
Brings catechins such as EGCG and some caffeine. Studies on glucose and metabolism are mixed. Concentrated green tea extracts have rare reports of liver injury, so stop and see a doctor if you notice dark urine, yellow skin or belly pain. Read the source.
Maca root
A root vegetable from the Andes, traditionally eaten for stamina. Small studies look at energy, mood and libido; evidence on blood sugar is thin. It is included for the energy side of the formula. Read the source.
Panax ginseng
Asian ginseng has been studied for fatigue and for after-meal glucose, with modest and inconsistent results. It can interact with blood thinners, diabetes medicines and stimulants, and may disturb sleep if taken late. Read the source.
What about the liquid itself?
The other-ingredients line lists the base that carries the extracts: usually water, glycerin or another solvent, and sometimes flavor or a preservative. Check it if you avoid alcohol, sweeteners or specific additives.
Why we do not print milligrams here
Some sites quote figures they cannot verify. We would rather point you to the one place the amounts are guaranteed accurate: the Supplement Facts panel on the bottle you receive. The NIH label guide shows how to read the panel when it arrives, and our Payarmin label guide walks through it line by line.
